Rough machining
Rough machining concept: refers to the simple processing or preliminary processing of raw materials. Select a large feed and as large a cutting depth as possible within the allowable range, in order to quickly and efficiently cut off most of the blank allowance in a short time and trim the shape and other processes, so that it is suitable for subsequent processing requirements.
Rough machining is the starting point in the manufacturing process, and its purpose is to provide suitable materials and shapes for the next step of semi-finishing and finishing, so as to facilitate subsequent processing more convenient and faster.
In rough machining, the size of the workpiece is usually larger than the final required size, and a certain allowance is left so that subsequent machining can be carried out more precisely.
Roughing requirements: rough machining requirements for surface quality is not high, the blunt standard of the tool is generally a significant increase in cutting force, that is, the wear width of the back blade face is VB as the standard to determine the precision basis.
However, it should be noted that rough machining must leave a processing allowance for later finishing.
Common roughing methods: rough turning, rough planing, rough milling, drilling, etc.
Generally, the processing accuracy is low, the quality is not too high, simple machining to machining allowance as required. Due to the processing amount, strength, etc., the friction heat is obvious, pay attention to heat dissipation measures during processing, and cool the tool when necessary.
The main benefits of rough machining are:
1.Due to different processing requirements, the characteristics of processing equipment can be reasonably used to improve production efficiency.
2.Rough machining first, can find the workpiece blank defects in time, so that technicians can repair or scrap, to avoid waste.
3.Reasonable arrangement of hot and cold processing processes, the residual stress of the workpiece after hot processing is relatively large, and the rough machining and finish machining is separated, which can avoid deformation.
