The 2024 China Automotive Forging Summit Forum has successfully concluded in Hangzhou

On September 10-12, 2024, the "2024 China Automotive Forging Technology and Production Equipment Summit Forum" sponsored by the China Forging Association was grandly opened in Hangzhou. Nearly 100 people from all over the country gathered together with the theme of "Seizing New Opportunities and Seeking New Development" to discuss and exchange ideas on the current development status, hotspots, and future development strategies of automotive parts, providing a platform for communication and cooperation for automotive parts enterprises and inspiring better development ideas.

The main leaders attending this conference include Mr. Han Mulin, Vice Chairman of the China Forging Association, and Mr. Mi Honglie, Vice Chairman of the China Forging Association and Chairman of the conference. This conference was attended by three universities, two research institutes, three outstanding automotive parts enterprises, one design institute, and one equipment enterprise, who presented exciting reports from different perspectives and levels. Discussions were conducted on current hot topics, key points, difficulties, and development trends in automotive forging, providing a very good platform for cooperation for the future development of participating enterprises. At the conference, everyone fully collided with sparks of wisdom, honed innovative thinking, and used this as an opportunity to enhance consensus and strengthen cooperation, in order to create a better future for the automotive parts market. The morning meeting was chaired by Professor Yuan Lin from Harbin Institute of Technology, and the afternoon meeting was chaired by Vice President of Technology Yang Yi from Qianchao Senwei Co., Ltd.

At 8:30 in the morning, Han Mulin, Vice Chairman of the China Forging and Pressing Association, delivered the opening speech. He mentioned that there is a gap between domestic automotive parts enterprises and leading foreign enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises have entered, market competition has intensified, and the level of production technology automation needs to be improved. Future automotive parts companies should focus on product integration and modularization; Product high-end and refined; Lightweight and energy-saving products; Development in the direction of operational automation and intelligence. Automotive parts companies can actively participate in the international market, expand new partners and customers, and achieve global development through international cooperation, technical exchanges, and other means.

Following that, the chairman of the conference and vice chairman of the China Forging Association, Mi Honglie, delivered a welcome speech, mentioning that the automotive forging industry is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities in the face of a new round of changes in the global automotive industry. How to seize the development opportunities of emerging markets such as new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles, how to cope with the integration challenges of interdisciplinary fields such as materials science and information technology, how to enhance independent innovation capabilities, and achieve breakthroughs and industrial applications of key technologies are issues that every practitioner must ponder deeply.

To build a platform for enterprise communication, a small-scale exhibition of advanced technology and products will be held concurrently with this conference, providing ample opportunities for face-to-face communication between enterprises. The representatives had lively exchanges and were still unsatisfied, providing an opportunity and foundation for future negotiations and cooperation.

After the meeting, the attendees visited Wanxiang Qianchao Co., Ltd. for an on-site visit, closely observing the entire forging process from raw materials to finished products. They visited multiple production lines, including cutting, hot forging, and cold forging. The company leaders explained the workshop products, equipment, and production processes. The representatives visited carefully and exchanged ideas meticulously, benefiting greatly.

In the golden September, we gather in Hangzhou, which is a gathering of new and old friends, as well as a good opportunity to expand cooperation.
